Why BAFOG?

The pressure for CFOs to optimize their organization’s financial position with minimal risk and maximum efficiency at the lowest cost continues to grow. However, the support CFOs need to excel as leaders is not always present. BAFOG exists to be a source for industry knowledge and professional development.

Our Beginning

BAFOG began more than 25 years ago with a group of CFOs who met to share “war stories.” They gave and received advice on particular challenges, and recommended helpful contacts. The evening often ended with several people going out for drinks and dinner. The format was informal, relational, and fun. The content was valuable and immediately applicable. Everyone broadened their industry perspective, gained insights, and got help addressing the challenges they shared with the group.

BAFOG Today

Albert Cuisinot and Isaac Zamora have a 10-year partnership as co-chairs for BAFOG. They organized meetings, facilitated learning, and kept people connected. The past two years, they focused on introducing more structure — using surveys and individual feedback to present targeted learning sessions, recruiting key subject matter experts as speakers, and continuing to provide industry perspective.

BAFOG’s leadership expanded in 2015 to include Lani Carnill as Director of Community Success. The BAFOG community as a whole continues to expand with new members, and the recent addition of sponsors.
